Delete your account

JamStream Ltd (ג'אמסטרים בע"מ), ח.פ. 517333407, Havatselet 6, Kiryat Yam, Israel · Effective August 6, 2026 · Version 2026-08-06

This page explains how to delete your JamStream account (app package live.jamstream.app, website jamstream.live) and all associated data, and what we delete or keep.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open JamStream and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile, then open Settings (⚙️).
  3. Scroll to Danger zone → Delete my account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete forever.

Your account and data are deleted immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone.

Prefer to request it by email?

If you can’t access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account.” We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your login (Firebase Authentication: email address and phone number)
  • The record on your JamStream account of a Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google connection, if you used one. Be clear about what this does not do today: deleting your JamStream account does not yet remove JamStream from your Apple ID or Google account settings, so the provider keeps its own record of the connection until you remove it there. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → JamStream → Stop using Apple ID. For Google: myaccount.google.com → Data & privacy → Third-party apps & services → JamStream. Automatic revocation is being built; until it ships we describe what we actually do rather than what we intend to.
  • Your profile — name/username, photo, cover image, bio
  • Your messages and direct messages (see the exception for safety records below)
  • Rooms and concerts you host, and your content within them
  • Your social connections (followers/jammers, blocks)
  • Your coin balance — spend it before you delete if you want to use it. Deleting your own account is your choice, not an enforcement action, so nothing is taken from you as a penalty; but the balance ends together with the account and cannot be recovered afterwards. Coins are never exchangeable for cash. If you hold an earned balance, email [email protected] before you delete — deleting does not waive money already owed to you.
  • Your uploaded photos and images
  • Your in-app activity, settings, and preferences

What we keep, and for how long

To meet legal obligations, we retain a limited set of records after deletion. These are kept for the minimum period the law requires and are not used for any other purpose.

DataWhyRetention
Transaction & payment records (purchases, withdrawals, earnings) — including receipts for coins bought inside the app through Google Play or the Apple App StoreTax, accounting and anti-fraud law; the store can still refund or revoke an in-app purchase after you delete, and we have to be able to reconcile itUp to 7 years — and for an earnings balance still owed to you, the 7 years run from when the balance is paid or otherwise lawfully discharged, not from when it was earned, so the record of money we owe you is never deleted while it is owed
Appeals and complaint-handling correspondence, if you appealed an enforcement decisionShowing the appeal was handled properlyUp to 3 years from the final decision
Child-safety (CSAM) evidence, if any applies to the accountRequired by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. §2258A / REPORT Act 2024)At least 1 year
Individual messages already removed or flagged by moderation, and — if your account is suspended or is the subject of an open report at the time you delete — the messages and direct messages connected to itSafety & abuse-prevention; preserving evidence for the people who reported it, and for appealsUp to 5 years (moderation-record retention)
Deletion audit record (that the account was deleted)Security & abuse-preventionLimited
Phone-bonus marker — a one-way keyed hash (HMAC) of a phone number that already earned the 100-coin phone-verification bonus, plus the date it was awarded. The phone number itself is not stored in it, and your phone-number registration is fully deleted so you can re-register your own numberStopping a paid bonus from being farmed by deleting an account and re-verifying the same numberThe link to the deleted account is dropped 90 days after deletion; the marker itself is kept indefinitely, and we say so rather than publishing a limit we do not apply (see the Privacy Policy §7 table)
Contract-formation and acceptance record (which versions of the Terms and Privacy Policy the account accepted, when, and on which sign-up or re-consent surface)Proof of what was agreed, for as long as a legal claim about the account could still arise (GDPR Art. 17(3)(e)) — this is the platform's record of its own contract formation; it holds version numbers, timestamps, the consent surface, and (for re-acceptances) the IP address the acceptance came from, and no name, photo, or message contentKept after deletion; the intended ceiling is the longest limitations period that could govern a claim about the account (see the Privacy Policy §7 table for the full statement)
